How the hashtag formatter works
Paste your mess
Comma-separated, new-line-separated, with or without # — every input style is split into individual tags. Spaced words inside one chunk become one multi-word tag.
Normalized and deduplicated
Tags are CamelCased (#MinecraftBuilds), duplicates are dropped with a note, and unreadable junk is reported instead of being silently swallowed.
Counts and limits
See the tag count and total characters with # included. Only the first three tags display above your title — extras still work in search but can push the display list into your description.

How many hashtags can I use on YouTube?
There is no fixed count limit, but only the first three hashtags in your description can appear above the video title. More than that, or more than 60 hashtags, can make YouTube ignore your tags entirely — so fewer, cleaner tags are safer.
Why does the formatter camel-case my tags?
Hashtags can't contain spaces, so multi-word tags are written with no spaces. YouTube's own convention is CamelCase — #MinecraftBuilds — which is also easier to read. The formatter applies that automatically.
What does 'removed duplicate' mean?
If the same tag appears more than once, only the first occurrence is kept. Duplicates waste description space and do not improve discovery.
