How the timestamp generator works
Write durations, not timestamps
List each part of your video with how long it lasts: Intro 0:30 means the intro is 30 seconds long. The generator adds them up, so when you edit a segment you only fix one number.
Absolute times, both styles
Output uses 0:30 style by default, or zero-padded 00:30 — both are accepted by YouTube for descriptions and chapter lists.
Chapter rules checked
YouTube only shows chapters when the list starts at 0:00, has at least 3 entries, and every chapter is at least 10 seconds long. Warnings and errors are shown before you copy.

How does the timestamp generator work?
You list each segment of your video with its duration — for example 'Intro 0:30' or 'Building 120' — and the tool adds them up into absolute timestamps like 0:00, 0:30, 2:30. It understands minutes:seconds and bare seconds, and it skips lines it can't parse.
What's the difference between this and the Chapter Formatter?
The Timestamp Generator works from durations — you tell it how long each part is and it computes the absolute times. The Chapter Formatter works from absolute times — you already have the 0:00 markers and need them cleaned into YouTube's format.
What makes YouTube show my timestamps as chapters?
YouTube shows a chapter list when it starts at 0:00, contains at least 3 timestamps in ascending order, and every chapter is at least 10 seconds long. The generator checks all of these and warns you before you publish.
