How meta tags work

Fill once, output everything

One set of fields produces the title, description, canonical, keywords, and robots tags plus their Open Graph and Twitter equivalents — consistent, so social previews match your search snippet.

Escaping done for you

Illegal characters in descriptions and URLs are HTML-escaped automatically, so the output stays valid in any <head>.

Paste and test

Drop the tags into the page <head>, then verify the share card in your platform's debugger (Facebook, LinkedIn, X).

Meta tag generator FAQ

Which meta tags are necessary?

The minimum is a unique title, a description, and a canonical link. Open Graph controls previews on WhatsApp, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and twitter: tags cover the card on X/Twitter.

How long should my description be?

About 150–160 characters is the sweet spot for a search snippet. Longer is acceptable; it just truncates in most results pages.

Should the site name be in the title?

Page name first, brand second is common — for example "JSON Formatter — Free Online | AntigleForge". Keep the full title under about 60 characters so it doesn't truncate.
